Third round of Questions

It is time to move into our Third week of dialogue.

The method this week is identical to the last. This week we are reading chapters 9-15, with questions by Friday and responses by Sunday.

  1. So by the last chapter Tolstoy calls to attention that Jesus had a bigger problem with the Law givers than with the law breakers. He called them hypocrites in power leading people to become hypocrites themselves. This is the ultimate hypnotization of the masses, that Christ fought. An eye for an eye, might is right has been practiced by all forms of human government. Turn the other cheek, resist not evil by force has been the moral compass of the inner kingdom of God. Whoever has an ear hear this and evolve.

Question in your life how do plan to practice this?

  2. I think the fear of death has to be overcome to practice non resistance. We are hardwired to fear and we are being manipulated by the government because of it. I don't know how to turn this off. Maybe fasting for 40 days , but i don't think its that simple. Someone knows and its not me.

We all fall short to the standard of AGAPE or unconditional love as Peter also could not die with Jesus Proved this.

Having said this I now realize no one can pass this test. Only Jesus did it and because of his sacrifice we are justified.

So in the end If Jesus didn't reject Peter for being mortal and imperfect, He wont reject the rest of us.

Should we strive for something that is impossible this non resistance... maybe in our small ways we can not be hypocrites and not judge and condemn anyone...
